Just Rosie Moore
1. What makes you try harder?
Answer: When I see my son’s smile, I remember him at birth weighing 1lb. 10oz and fighting for his life. Every time I visit the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), I remember his smile, and pray that these babies will go home soon. The visual of the NICU and my son’s laughter motivate me to support the parents who have been blind sighted by this unexpected premature birth.
2. Describe the perfect day for you:
Answer: The perfect day is spending time with my husband and my son at the beach, playing in the sand and the water, then taking a nap together on the beach. At the end of the beach day having time to read our son a story while we sit out on the balcony smelling the ocean air and hearing the waves crash.
3. How do you make a difference each day?
Answer: As the founder of The Gift of Life charity, we offer hope, encouragement, and support to parents of premature babies in NICUs nationally and internationally. When we as a family deliver hats and make care packages for the NICU, it is rewarding to see the parents smile. I work in the office daily calling families and sponsors with the needs for the family.
4. Describe your most treasured item in your home:
Answer: I have a little apple that was given to all the newlywed ladies in our Apples of Gold group. The apple was to remind us of Proverbs 25:11 “A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in pictures of silver.” I look at it daily on my desk at home while I work or go about my day as a reminder to choose my words before I speak to others.
